The Davis Farm is near Galena Md.
Allen and Olin Davis are twin brothers who are part of seven generations of farming.
Emily Markey, their Flock Supervisor says, “Even if they’re number one, they want to know how they can do better.”
They grow corn, raised hogs, and keep their chickens happy. “They’re content. They’ve got full access to feed and water. They’re not fighting. It’s good for the bird. And that’s what we’re interested in is maintaining a good environment for the chicken and they’ll grow well.”
This farm produces over a million chickens per year. “That means 3,000 families can go home and eat a chicken dinner every day of the year and that’s produced on a family farm,” Olin says.
