Friday on DelmarvaLife, we learned about “Hunger Action Month” – a campaign aimed at helping to feed hungry families on Delmarva. You can help families in need. It’s as easy as donating non-perishable food to several locations on Delmarva. Some of the most-needed items include:
- Canned Proteins
- Pasta
- Canned Veggies
- Rice
- Fruits
- Juices
- Breakfast Cereal
- Oats
- Bars
- Soups
- Stews
- Infant Formula
- Shelf Stable Dairy
There’s also a “Stuff the Truck” event. Here are the details:

Help the Maryland State Police and the State Highway Administration fill a dump truck to fight hunger on the Eastern Shore during the 2015 Hunger Action Month Food Drive. Benefits the Maryland Food Bank. All donations stay on the Eastern Shore to help feed local families in need.
